The framework of the payment and settlement systems in Taiwan comprises the CBC Interbank Funds transfer System（CIFS）, FISC Financial Information System, TCH Check Clearing System and Central Government Securities Settlement System. Acting as a hub of interbank fund transferring network, the CIFS has computer-to computer linkages with the other systems, together constitute the backbone of national payment systems and handle interbank fund transfer transactions.
