The following information gives a brief introduction to the service of the CBC’s PDA version website. Your visit and feedback are welcome.

1. The PDA Version of the CBC Website

By accessing this PDA service, you can obtain the following information: latest news, key financial indicators, list of financial institutions, interest rates on loans and deposits offered by financial institutions, and a comparison tool for interest rates on loans and deposits by type of financial institutions. More services will be made available in the future based on bandwidth capacity and the needs of users.

2. How to Use the Service

News:
The latest news is provided here for you to learn about the most recent information of the CBC.
　
Key Financial Indicators:
Via the PDA version website, you can get the latest data of four key financial indicators, including Discount Rate (as of Mar. 25 2005), Interbank Overnight Call-Loan Rate, Foreign Exchange Reserves (end of month data in US$ Billions) (as of end of May 2005), and NT$/US$ Closing Rate.

List of Financial Institutions:
You may search for the intended financial institution(s) by specifying the criteria, including Name of Financial Institution, Type of Financial Institution, Date of Establishment, Domestic/Foreign Financial Institution, Zip Code, Authorized Branch Code for FX Business, Government Bonds- and Treasury-Related Service Provider, and Head Office Code. Enter at least one criterion to begin your search. The more specified criteria you give, the more detailed the result is.

Interest Rates on Loans and Deposits Offered by Financial Institutions:
Select one item from the following categories: Old Domestic Banks, Young Domestic Banks, SME Banks, Foreign Banks, Investment & Trust Companies, and All Banks. Then select the intended bank for information about its offered rates on loans and deposits.

Comparison Tool for Interest Rates on Loans and Deposits by Type of Financial Institutions:
There are two ways to access information about interest rates offered by banks: (1) select by type of banks from items including Old Domestic Banks, Young Domestic Banks, SME Banks, Foreign Banks, and Investment & Trust Companies; or (2) select by type of interest rate from items including Demand Savings Deposit, Payroll Savings Deposit, Base Lending Rate, Number of Month Terms for Time Deposit, Number of Year Terms for Time Deposit, Credit Card Revolving Rate, Trust Fund Deposit, Securities Savings Deposit, Base Rate, ARM Rate, and Cash Card Interest Rate.

Please note that for the CBC’s PDA version website in English, only three categories of information can be accessed: News, Key Financial Indicators, and List of Financial Institutions.
