- 1621When asked by group of visitors to comment on NT dollar interest rates during a meeting on March 12, 2007, Governor Fai-nan Perng remarked that "after a number of adjustments, the interest rates are getting closer and closer to neutral." Mr. Perng did not say: "The rise in interest rates may be approaching a peak." This press statement has been issued to clarify the comment made by Mr. Perng.
