THE ISSUANCE OF A NT$10 COIN TO COMMEMORATE THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH OF THE LATE PRESIDENT CHIANG CHING-KUO
The Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) will issue a NT$10 coin to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of late President Chiang Ching-kuo on 27th April 2010. The Bank of Taiwan has been appointed by the Central Bank of the Republic of China(Taiwan)to deal with the exchange of the commemorative NT$10 coin.

Obverse: The main design features a portrait of the late President Chiang Ching-kuo. The upper part of the circumscription is inscribed “The 99th Year of the Republic of China” in Chinese and below the portrait “The Late President Chiang Ching-kuo Centennial Commemoration” in Chinese.
Reverse: The latent images of two Chinese phrases meaning “the country is prosperous and at peace” and “the people live in safety and happiness,” overlap to form the shape of a Ruyi. The face value 10 “Yuan” in Chinese is inscribed with two latent images “ ” and “
” inside the Arabic numeral 0. A tactile identification feature for blind people “●” can be found below.
