The Financial Information Service Co., Ltd. (FISC) provides interbank clearing services through the Financial Information System (FIS), which includes 3 sub-platforms—Bill/Tax Payment Platform, Funds Transfer Platform, and Common Payment Platform—allowing customers to transfer funds, pay bills or tax, and make payments with ATM cards, credit cards, or bank accounts (See Chart 1).

In response to recent developments of mobile technology, the FISC has established a common mobile payment platform, and constructed a more convenient and safer identification and authentication mechanism to facilitate mobile payment services provided by financial institutions.
