Foreign Exchange Reserves as of the End of September 2017

The foreign exchange reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$447.22 billion as of the end of September 2017, showing an increase of US$795 million from the figure recorded at the end of the previous month.

The main factor responsible for the increase in foreign exchange reserves in September 2017 is returns from foreign exchange reserves management.

Note: The market value of securities investment and the NTD deposits held by foreign portfolio investors at the end of September 2017 reached US$375.9 billion, equivalent to 84% of  foreign exchange reserves.
