Foreign Exchange Reserves as of the End of December 2014
The foreign exchange reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$418.98 billion at the end of December 2014, showing a decrease of US$2.49 billion from the figure recorded at the end of the previous month.
In December 2014, the EUR and other major currencies depreciated against the US dollar. The resulting decrease in foreign exchange reserves is greater than returns from foreign exchange reserves management.

Note: The market value of securities investment and the TWD deposits held by foreign portfolio investors at the end of December 2014 reached USD287.5 billion, equivalent to 69% of foreign exchange reserves.
