Foreign Exchange Reserves as of the End of October 2014

The foreign exchange reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$421.48 billion as of the end of October 2014, showing an increase of US$780 million from the figure recorded at the end of the previous month.

The main factor responsible for the increase in foreign exchange reserves in October 2014 is returns from foreign exchange reserves management .

Note: The market value of securities investment and the NTD deposits held by foreign portfolio investors at the end of October 2014 reached US$287.4 billion, equivalent to 68% of foreign exchange reserves.
