Foreign Exchange Reserves as at the End of
June 2013
The foreign exchange reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$406.61 billion at the end of June 2013, showing a decrease of US$10 million from the figure recorded at the end of the previous month.
The level of foreign exchange reserves showed a moderate decrease in June because the net outflow of foreign capital offset returns from the management of reserve assets.

Note: The market value of securities investment and the NTD deposits held by foreign portfolio investors at the end of June 2013 reached US$228.5 billion, equivalent to 56% of foreign exchange reserves.
