Foreign Exchange Reserves as at the End of
May 2013
The foreign exchange reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$406.62 billion at the end of May 2013, showing an increase of US$1.42 billion from the figure recorded at the end of the previous month.
The factor responsible for the increase in foreign exchange reserves in May 2013 is returns from foreign exchange reserves management.

Note: The market value of securities investment and the NTD deposits held by foreign portfolio investors at the end of May 2013 reached US$239.3 billion, equivalent to 59% of foreign exchange reserves.
