Foreign Exchange Reserves as at the End of
February 2013
The foreign exchange reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$404.08 billion at the end of February 2013, showing a decrease of US$2.48 billion from the figure recorded at the end of the previous month.
In February 2013, the EUR and other major currencies depreciated against the US dollar. The resulting decrease in foreign exchange reserves is greater than returns from foreign exchange reserves management.

Note: The market value of securities investment and the TWD deposits held by foreign portfolio investors at the end of February 2013 reached USD225.2 billion, equivalent to 56% of foreign exchange reserves.
