Foreign Exchange Reserves as at the End of
April 2012
The foreign exchange reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$395.07 billion at the end of April 2012, showing an increase of US$1.2 billion from the figure recorded at the end of the previous month.
The main factor responsible for the increase in foreign exchange reserves in April 2012 is returns from foreign exchange reserves management.

Note: The market value of securities investment and the TWD deposits held by foreign portfolio investors at the end of April 2012 reached USD212.2 billion, equivalent to 54% of foreign exchange reserves.
