THE ISSUANCE OF A NT$10 COIN TO COMMEMORATE MR. CHIANG WEI-SHUI
The Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) will issue a commemorative NT$10 coin in memory of Mr. Chiang Wei-shui on 5th August 2010. The commemorative NT$10 coin will be circulated concurrently with the existing notes and coins. The Bank of Taiwan has been appointed by the Central Bank of the Republic of China(Taiwan)to deal with the exchange of the commemorative NT$10 coin.

Obverse: The main design features a portrait of Mr. Chiang Wei-shui. The upper part of the circumscription is inscribed “The 99th Year of the Republic of China” in Chinese and below the portrait “Mr. Chiang Wei-shui (1891-1931)” in Chinese.
Reverse: The latent images of two Chinese phrases “a prosperous country and happy people”(國泰民安) and “favorable climatic conditions for livelihood”(風調雨順) overlap to form the shape of a Ruyi. The face value 10 “Yuan” in Chinese is inscribed with two latent images“ ” and “
