The Commemorative Silver Coin
for the 21st Asian International Stamp Exhibition
The Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) will issue the 21st Asian International Stamp Exhibition Commemorative Silver Coin on March 7, 2008. A total of 17,000 pieces will be sold. The sale of the coin will be delegated to the Bank of Taiwan and the Taiwan Post Corporation (2,000 pieces will be sold in the Stamp Exhibition) as distributors. The Silver Coin is legal tender and has a denomination of one hundred New Taiwan dollars. Each coin costs NT$1200. Each person may purchase only one silver coin at a time.
The obverse features the colorful Taiwan azalea in the foreground and Yushan in the background. The edge around the coin is inscribed with "97th Year of Republic of China," and "In Commemoration of the 21st Asian International Stamp Exhibition." The reverse features the LOGO of this exhibition. The edge is inscribed with "21st Asian International Stamp Exhibition."
The configuration of this silver coin was provided by the Taiwan Post Corporation. It is minted by the Central Mint of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
