Foreign Exchange Reserves as at the End of
March 2007
The foreign exchange reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$267.49 billion at the end of March 2007, showing a decrease of US$502 million from the figure recorded at the end of last month.
The main factor responsible for the drop in foreign exchange reserves in March 2007 was the repatriation of foreign capital. Foreign investors as a group was a net seller in Taiwan’s equity markets in March.
