Foreign Exchange Reserves as at end of
October 2005
The foreign exchange reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$252.01 billion at the end of October 2005, showing a decrease of US$1,740 million from the figure recorded at the end of last month.
The main factor responsible for the drop in foreign exchange reserves in October 2005 is repatriation of foreign capital. Foreign investors as a group was a net seller in Taiwan¡¦s equity markets in October.
