FOREIGN EXCHANGE RESERVES AS OF AUGUST 31, 2002


The Foreign Exchange Reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$156.44 billion at the end of August 2002, showing an increase of US$ 1,166 million from the figure recorded at the end of last month and an increase of US$ 34,227 million from that of the end of last year.
