FOREIGN EXCHANGE RESERVES AS AT
END OF AUGUST 2004
The foreign exchange reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$231.61
billion at the end of August 2004, showing an increase of US$1,207 million from
the figure recorded at the end of last month and an increase of US$24,977
million compared to the end of last year.
The main factor responsible for the increase in foreign exchange reserves in
August 2004 is returns from foreign exchange reserves management.
