FOREIGN EXCHANGE RESERVES AS OF

SEPTEMBER 30, 2002

The Foreign Exchange Reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$157.03 billion at the end of September 2002, showing an increase of US$ 596 million from the figure recorded at the end of last month and an increase of US$ 34,823 million from that of the end of last year.
