The 11th Issue of Proof Coin Set

The Central Bank of China will issue the 11th Proof Coin Set on the 15th of January 2003. Each set consists of six proof coins in different denominations as well as a silver medal weighing half an ounce. Each proof coin set costs NT$1000.

The obverse of the medal features a trio of goats. The reverse features three traditional mythological figures which, over the course of the millennia, have come to personify the three blessings of life: Longevity, with the peach of long life in hand, Glory in his mandarin garb, and Fortune with pomegranate in hand¡K the seeds of fertile opportunity.

The Bank of Taiwan and the Central Trust of China are appointed as the delegates of the Central Bank of China to deal with the sale of 180,000 sets and 6,000 sets of proof coin sets. Each person may purchase one set at a time.
