FOREIGN EXCHANGE RESERVES AS AT
END OF MAY 2005

The foreign exchange reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$253.17 billion at the end of May 2005, showing an increase of US$530 million from the figure recorded at the end of last month and an increase of US$11,432 million compared to the end of last year.
The main factor responsible for the increase in foreign exchange reserves in May 2005 is returns from foreign exchange reserves management.
