FOREIGN EXCHANGE RESERVES AS OF DEC. 31, 2001

The Foreign Exchange Reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$ 122.21 billion at the end of Dec.2001, showing an increase of US$ 1,046 million from the figure recorded at the end of last month and an increase of US$ 15,469 million from that of the end of last year.
