FOREIGN EXCHANGE RESERVES AS OF APRIL 30, 2002

The Foreign Exchange Reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$132.93 billion at the end of April 2002, showing an increase of US$ 4,904 million from the figure recorded at the end of last month and an increase of US$ 10,723 million from that of the end of last year.
