FOREIGN EXCHANGE RESERVES AS OF

OCTOBER 31, 2002

The Foreign Exchange Reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$157.63 billion at the end of October 2002, showing an increase of US$ 594 million from the figure recorded at the end of last month and an increase of US$ 35,417 million from that of the end of last year.
