Liquid Reserves of Financial Institutions (July 2026)

1. For the month of July 2026, liabilities subject to liquid reserve requirements totaled NT$55,354.9 billion, of which deposits totaled NT$54,443.0 billion accounting for 98.35% of the total. Based on the statutory minimum liquid reserve ratio of 10%, the required liquid reserves amounted to NT$5,535.5 billion.

2. For the month of July 2026, actual liquid reserve assets totaled NT$12,834.8 billion, representing a decrease of NT$156.1 billion from the previous month. By category, the primary components were as follows (Table 1):

(1) Certificates of deposit issued by the Bank amounted to NT$5,261.7 billion accounting for 41.00% of the total, a decrease of NT$46.9 billion from the previous month.

(2) Government bonds stood at NT$2,368.6 billion accounting for 18.45% of the total, a decrease of NT$3.0 billion from the previous month.

(3) Re-deposits at designated banks by financial institutions totaled NT$1,040.4 billion accounting for 8.11% of the total, a decrease of NT$18.7 billion from the previous month.

3. For the month of July 2026, the actual liquid reserve ratio of financial institutions was 23.19%, representing a decrease of 0.30 percentage points from the previous month (Table 2).
