Liquid Reserves of Financial Institutions (June 2026)

1. For the month of June 2026, liabilities subject to liquid reserve requirements totaled NT$55,302.9 billion, of which deposits totaled NT$54,436.4 billion accounting for 98.43% of the total. Based on the statutory minimum liquid reserve ratio of 10%, the required liquid reserves amounted to NT$5,530.3 billion.

2. For the month of June 2026, actual liquid reserve assets totaled NT$12,990.9 billion, representing a decrease of NT$578.2 billion from the previous month. By category, the primary components were as follows (Table 1):

(1) Certificates of deposit issued by the Bank amounted to NT$5,308.6 billion accounting for 40.86% of the total, a decrease of NT$405.7 billion from the previous month.

(2) Government bonds stood at NT$2,371.6 billion accounting for 18.26% of the total, an increase of NT$12.3 billion from the previous month.

(3) Re-deposits at designated banks by financial institutions totaled NT$1,059.1 billion accounting for 8.15% of the total, a decrease of NT$11.8 billion from the previous month.

3. For the month of June 2026, the actual liquid reserve ratio of financial institutions was 23.49%, representing a decrease of 1.82 percentage points from the previous month (Table 2).
