Average Rate on New Loans of  Five Major Banks (June 2026)

For the month of June 2026, the weighted average interest rate on new loans extended by the five major domestic banks (Bank of Taiwan, Taiwan Cooperative Bank, First Commercial Bank, Hua Nan Commercial Bank, and Land Bank of Taiwan) decreased by 0.053 percentage points from 2.208% in the previous month to 2.155% owing to decreases in the interest rates across all loan categories.

As the five major domestic banks recorded no Treasury borrowings in June, the weighted average interest rate on new loans extended by the five major banks excluding Treasury borrowings was the same at 2.155%, also down by 0.053 percentage points from 2.208% in the previous month.
