Approved foreign exchange business in July 2022

In line with the policy of promoting the liberalization, internationalization, and development of the foreign exchange market, the Bank approved the following:

1. Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank to issue foreign currency denominated negotiable certificate of deposits.

2. Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank to engage in non-principal protected structured products composed of domestic equity(including index)options linked to foreign currency principals.

3. Mega International Commercial Bank to engage in principal protected structured products composed of domestic equity(including index)options linked to foreign currency principals.

4. Mega International Commercial Bank to issue a dollar-denominated senior unsecured note linked to interest rate derivatives.

5. Union Securities Investment Trust Co., Ltd. to conduct the foreign currency discretionary investment business.

6. As of the end of July 2022, there were 3,457 authorized banks, including 3,418 domestic banks, 3 Mainland banks, and 36 foreign banks.
