Approved foreign exchange business in December 2020

In line with the policy of promoting the liberalization, internationalization, and development of the foreign exchange market, the Bank approved the following:

  1. President Securities to issue Exchange Traded Notes tracking the performance of a foreign index.

  2. Rakuten International Commercial Bank to provide overseas cash withdrawal through International ATM Cards.

  3. Invesco Taiwan Limited and DWS Far Eastern Investments Limited to conduct the foreign currency discretionary investment business.

  4. Four branches of one bank to operate the foreign exchange business. As of the end of December 2020, there were 3,465 authorized banks, including 3,427 domestic banks, 3 Mainland banks, and 35 foreign banks.
