Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan)

PRESS RELEASE                                           Release Date:  April 7, 2020

Foreign Exchange Reserves as of the End of March 2020

The foreign exchange reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$480.39 billion as of the end of March 2020, showing an increase of US$705 million from the figure recorded at the end of the previous month.

The main factor responsible for the increase in foreign exchange reserves in March 2020 was returns from foreign exchange reserves management, which were partially offset by the depreciation of the pound sterling and other reserve currencies against the US dollar.
