Foreign Exchange Reserves as of the End of January 2020
The foreign exchange reserves of the Republic of China amounted to US$479.13 billion as of the end of January 2020, showing an increase of US$1.01 billion from the figure recorded at the end of the previous month.
The main factor responsible for the increase in foreign exchange reserves in January 2020 was returns from foreign exchange reserves management.

Note: The market value of securities investment and the NTD deposits held by foreign portfolio investors at the end of January 2020 reached US$434.8 billion, equivalent to 91% of foreign exchange reserves.
