Financial Soundness Indicators of Taiwan

In order to compile financial soundness indicators (FSIs), the Bank set up a study force in January 2005, responsible for drafting report forms and guidance regarding FSI data based on the Compilation Guide on Financial Soundness Indicators issued by the International Monetary Fund. To ensure the definitions of FSI reporting items are fully comprehended by reporting institutions and fit into local banking practices, the Bank has hosted 3 seminars with participants from domestic banks since September 2005.

All domestic banks, including Chunghwa Post Co., Ltd, should file FSI data as of every quarter-end beginning March 2006. After the reporting of FSI data become stabilized, the bank will release FSIs on the website quarterly.
