What kinds of registrations do clearing banks carry out?

The registrations that could be carried out by clearing banks are as follows:
1. Transfer registrations: refer to registrations of inward or outward transfer of securities ownership, as in original purchase, trading, buyback, inheritance, gift, or trust.
2. Lodgement registrations: refer to inward or outward transfer registrations of securities processed when the underlying securities serving as the lodgement object deposited with the Court.
3. Return registrations: refer to inward or outward transfer registrations of securities processed when the underlying securities serving as the lodgement object deposited with the Court are returned to the original depositor or delivered to a third party.
4. Restricted transfer registrations: refer to restricted inward or outward transfer registrations without change in ownership, as a pledge, public guarantee (where duly deposited in the Bank, the Treasury, or a bank to serve as a guarantee), or depository of reserves (where duly deposited in the Bank to serve as trust fund reserves or compensation reserves).
5. Revocation of restricted transfer registrations: refer to the registrations used to revoke the above-mentioned restricted registrations, namely revocation registrations of pledge or public guarantee or depository of reserves.
6. Issuance/revocation of RP/RS transaction certificates:when issuing RP/RS transaction certificates for the start leg of such transactions, the clearing banks shall earmark dealers’ accounts by the amount of transaction; when revoking RP/RS transaction certificates for the close leg of such transactions, the clearing banks shall credit disposable balance to dealers’ accounts by the originally earmarked amount.
