The Data: Coverage, Periodicity, and Timeliness
||Data are disseminated on the following rates(as the percentage per annum) :|
(1)The central bank's discount rate(the policy variable rate).
(2)Deposit rate: average of 1-year deposit rates for five leading domestic banks.
(3)Loan rate: average of base lending rates for five leading domestic banks.
(4)Short-term money market rate: weighted average of overnight interbank interest rates.
(5)Long-term government bond yield: weighted average yield on 10-year government bonds, which have the highest transaction volume in the secondary market.
||On the day the change is made for the central bank's discount rate. Daily data (released by weighted average or at the end of month) for all other rates and yields.|

Access by the Public
|Advance dissemination of release calendar
||An advance release calendar is disseminated on the CBC's Internet website. A one-week ahead notice of the confirmed/revised calendar is available in a press release issued in the morning of the first day of the release week. When the central bank rate is changed, the data are simultaneously disseminated in a press release to the public.|
|Simultaneous release to all interested parties
||Data are released at the CBC's press conference and are simultaneously available on the CBC's Internet website.|

|Article 21 of Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) Act provides that the CBC shall determine the discount rate and other accommodation rates, and make them public. Article 39 provides that the CBC shall collect and compile financial data for the purpose of monetary policies and economic research.|
