Based on the revised Central Bank of China Act effective July 7, 1999, the floors on required reserve ratios of deposits and other debts have been cancelled.
Beginning Dec. 8, 2000, newly-added foreign currency deposits are subject to reserve requirements.
Beginning Aug. 1, 2007, all foreign currency deposits are subject to reserve requirements.
